WELCOME TO THE CHAYIL FOUNDATION -
EILEEN ODURAA NINSON
Years ago, during a personal retreat, a profound realisation ignited my mission to support widows in the community upon my return to Accra. Quietly assisting them behind the scenes, I initially hesitated to make it public but ultimately decided to open up about it. With the support of fellow Sunday school teachers, we pooled resources to provide crucial assistance to two widows, witnessing the joy on their faces as it affirmed the impact of our support, addressing their immediate needs.
This experience inspired me to conceptualise a more profound impact, creating an Acoustic Night. This event offers a serene space with uplifting music for these women to feel cherished, providing a platform for them to be heard and allowing others to support a worthy cause. Despite being an ideal catalyst for others, I hesitated to pursue my dream until a transformative conversation shattered the imposter syndrome, giving birth to an event envisioned for over five years – the Acoustic Night of Hope. In that same year, The Chayil Foundation was launched.
Our dedication lies in empowering widows, single mothers, and orphans to achieve financial independence and contribute to the sustenance of their economy through our socio-economic programs.
I extend an invitation for you to join us on this transformative journey. Join us in empowering individuals to lead productive and dignified lives. Your support can significantly impact, proving that a small step can create lasting change.
